Description

We are looking an SEN Teaching Assistant to work with an autistic boy in Reception at a Mainstream School in Croxteth.

 

Hours per week: 27.5

Hourly Rate: £8.30 plus holiday pay

Start date: 24th April 2017

 

Responsibilities

·       To encourage pupils to join in with all activities and to take a full and active part in school life.

·       To prepare, modify and adapt resources and learning materials for the pupil as agreed with the class teacher and other professionals.

·       To assist in resolving any behavioural, social and emotional difficulties which may arise.

·       To encourage the pupil to develop a positive self image, and to develop confidence in their abilities and communication with others.

 

Requirements

·       You must have had experience working with children with complex needs

·       A strong positive work ethic

·       A caring and compassionate personality

·       Experience of working on a 1:1 basis with pupils (desirable)

·       Level 3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent qualification (desirable)

 

The successful candidate must be able to provide recent and relevant references and a clear DBS check.
