Increase ratios to reduce childcare

The government has today unveiled plans to increase ratios in Nurseries and with Child minders in a bid to decrease childcare costs in the UK. The UK has one of the highest costs in Europe for childcare.

One morning, when Gregor Samsa woke from troubled dreams, he found himself transformed in his bed into a horrible vermin. He lay on his armour-like back, and if he lifted his head a little he could see his brown belly, slightly domed and divided by arches into stiff sections. The bedding was hardly able to cover it and seemed ready to slide off any moment.

His many legs, pitifully thin compared with the size of the rest of him, waved about helplessly as he looked. "What's happened to me? " he thought. It wasn't a dream. However hard he threw himself onto his right, he always rolled back to where he was. He must have tried it a hundred times, shut his eyes so that he wouldn't have to look at the floundering legs, and only stopped when

Parents to claim back childcare

Under new government plans parents will be able to claim back £1200 of childcare costs, or up to 20%.
