SEN Learning Support Assistant required; for a male student, in Year 10, with ASD in a South Liverpool School.
Requires 1:1 support academically; to ensure he understands all the work he is set and can complete all of his work on time and to the standard required. He may require tasks to be broken down in to smaller more manageable tasks in order to complete.
He also requires his LSA to work on increasing his social skills; by encouraging him to partake in class discussions and interact with both his teacher and class mates alike.
Some behavioural issues; he can be quite determined and strong willed at times (likes his own way). As a result he requires an LSA with a strong character and excellent social skills; to be able to reason with him and explain to him (in language he understands) what is acceptable behaviour in school, what is expected of him and to be able to compromise (when required).
Start: September 2015
Pay Rate: £8.50 per hour, Hours; 25 hours, Monday to Friday (term time)
Previous experience within a similar role is essential, relevant qualifications are favourable but not essential.
Successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and must be able to supply the names of relevant references.
