Purpose of the Job
To deliver all aspects of the Education Business Partnership (EBP) service delivery and contribute towards selling, marketing, and raising the profile of EBP services and products including The Enterprise Game
Duties and Responsibilities
To liaise effectively with local schools and employers to agree a work experience calendar that will provide an appropriate range and variety of work placements for students in line with target requirements.
To deliver a health & safety programme to employers, schools and colleges in order to ensure compliance with The Approved Standard for Work Related Learning (WRL)
To implement appropriate health & safety, and safeguarding measures to all aspects of WRL to ensure that the Borough Council fulfils its legal and statutory responsibilities
To advise, guide, and actively support employers and teaching staff on The Approved Standard for WRL
To provide quantative and qualitative reports on all aspects of EBP work
To support SLA agreements with individual schools, preparing materials and documents to deliver the diversity of activities that EBP offers.
To deliver activities and events off site in schools, colleges, and other sites throughout the borough
To contribute to selling, marketing and raising the profile of EBP services & products, more specifically The Enterprise Game
To maintain and further develop EBP systems including The Veryan database, The EBP website, and associated social media and communication accounts
To contribute to the business planning process and implement an annual action plan consistent with overall EBP strategy
To provide a range of support to enable the effective delivery of the EBP service between business & education
To ensure continuous improvement of all EBP services
To apply and embody the principle of equal opportunity to all aspects of Education Business Partnership work
To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time which are commensurate with the grade of the job.
To lead on an area of the EBP service as designated by the EBP manager
Requirements
Must have experience of working in schools and of providing careers guidance to young people.
