    • Provide practical and emotional support to children in day-to-day activities, including personal care, education, recreation, and socialization.
  • Safeguarding & Health & Safety:
    • Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all children in the home, following safeguarding procedures and raising concerns where necessary.
    • Promote a safe and secure living environment, ensuring health and safety policies are adhered to.
    • Respond to incidents, challenging behaviours, and emergencies as required, using de-escalation techniques and following the home's behaviour management plan.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Ensure that accurate records are maintained for all children, including daily logs, care plans, incident reports, and progress notes.
    • Assist with the preparation for and participation in regular review meetings, providing updates on children's progress and development.
    • Contribute to the preparation for Ofsted inspections and any other regulatory audits.
  • Team Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with other professionals (e.g., social workers, therapists, schools) to ensure a holistic approach to the children’s care and development.
    • Participate in team meetings, handovers, and training sessions, contributing to the ongoing improvement of the service.
    • Ensure open and effective communication within the team, fostering a positive and supportive work culture.

Key Requirements:

    • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in a residential childcare setting, particularly with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
    • Experience in supervising or leading a team is highly desirable.
