Caring Services are currently recruiting for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner with SEND experience to work in a Nursery School in Everton.

We are looking for someone to work as a professional in a team providing high quality education with care to children aged 2-5 years in the Centre for Nurture/Local Authority SEND maintained Resource Provision (with children who have social, emotional and communication difficulties, ADHD and/or Autism) and their families within the centre. This is under the overall direction of the Headteacher/Head of Centre and the Leadership Team.

  • Pay: £19,000 - £21,000 depending on experience
  • Term Time role, Monday to Friday!
  • Shifts: 35 hours per week between 8am and 5:30pm.
  • Location: Everton, L6.

Nursery Nurse– Responsibilities

  • To provide support for children 2-5 in the Centre for Nurture and support children with special educational needs and disability as and when required.
  • To provide support to the class teacher and work as part of a successful team of early years practitioners, delivering the highest quality of education with care.
  • To contribute to the design and maintenance of a stimulating, safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • To contribute and plan for the preparation, delivery and evaluation of high quality learning experiences that enhance children’s physical, intellectual, emotional, social and moral development.

Nursery Nurse - Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant experience of working with children within the EYFS within a school setting and attained Grade 3 or equivalent in Early Years and Childcare.
  • Relevant experience of working with children 2-5 years with special educational needs and disability in a early years setting;
  • Experience of recent training in safeguarding, literacy and numeracy and paediatric first aid;
  • Willingness to participate in relevant training and development opportunities.
