Caring Services have fantastic opportunities for permanent roles as a Childcare Practitioner. We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for their outstanding Nursery located in Mossley Hill.
To start: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8.00am - 6.00pm
Location of Nursery: Mossley Hill
Rate of pay: starts at £11.00 per hour
Job Description
- NNEB, NVQ 2, NVQ 3 or willingness to work towards
- To assist colleagues in the day-to-day organisation of the children in your care
- To supervise children in all activities and exploration, including meal times
- To observe, record and plan activities for individual children in keeping with the Early Years Foundation Stage, and to maintain children’s records in a manner which may be accessed by colleagues. This may entail a small proportion of time in home-based work.
- To work within a flexible shift pattern, maintain a high standard of timekeeping and attendance.
- You may be allocated to a specific room, but as operationally required you may need to work within other rooms without notice
- To be willing to obtain the appropriate First Aid Certificate, Food Handling and other additional training
Responsibilities
- To ensure that all communication to customers and colleagues is accurate, effective and timely, and is delivered in a supportive and helpful manner.
- To comply with and fully support the Health and Safety policy, all legislative requirements and any instructions given by Managers relating to Health and Safety of the workplace. To keep abreast of current issues and attend training as necessary, also to liaise with other professional bodies.
- To be responsible for ensuring the strict security of personal information which relates to work activity and particularly resulting from contact with customers and the general public, whether this be verbal, written or through electronic means such as text, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
- To maintain current knowledge with regard to the Safeguarding of children.
- To communicate effectively with those individuals who possess special needs.

All applicants must hold an enhanced DBS certificate (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered on the DBS update service. Candidates will be asked to provide a minimum of five years references and successfully pass all safeguarding checks
