On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to work as part of a team contributing to the delivery of high-quality education services for children and their families. The role will support the Management in the development of a child centred outstanding provision for all their children and their families and work under the instruction of your Head of Room, Leader of Learning, Manager and the owner.

  • Rate of Pay: £10 per hour
  • Times: Between the hours of 8am & 6pm
  • Hours: Maximum 40 hours per week
  • To start: ASAP
  • Location: Huyton


  • To fulfil the special carer responsibilities for children within the nursery. Foster children’s self confidence, self esteem and independence, providing emotional security and support where appropriate
  • To ensure the overall well-being of all the children through providing play, learning opportunities. To develop a motivating and stimulating environment that inspires a child's learning ability. Organising learning materials and resources and making imaginative use of resources; assisting with the holistic development of children's abilities. Encouraging learning through experience and play.
  • To share responsibilities with fellow practitioners with the observing, assessing and recording each child's progress in line with the observation and assessment practices. To monitor, observe, reflect and evaluate children’s experiences.
  • To be a positive role model, engaging and playing alongside the children. Contribute to the development of a happy, safe, secure and stimulating environment that promotes the development of confidence, independence and self-esteem for all. Also, to Manage children’s behaviour effectively in line with policy guidelines and developmental stages
  • Interact with children indoors and out, getting down to their level and extend their learning consistently engaging in shared thinking.
  • Offering all children equal opportunities with regard to their religious persuasion, racial origins, gender, disabilities, cultural or linguistic background; to ensure that all activities positively reflect cultural and religious differences and provide for the overall development and care of all children and develop the child’s curiosity and knowledge.
