Temporary Part Time Nursery Manager – Forest School in Bootle, Liverpool, L20
Summary
Start 15th April 2024 for 1 term until end of July 2024
This is a Temporary role but you can be apply for the permanent role to start in September 2024 if required.
18 Hours per week - 3 days per week -Term time only
We require a manager who has a minimum of 2 years experience managing a nursery setting.
Must have Level 3 in Childcare.
We are a newly established nursery, so need a manager to implement a full EYFS timetable for the staff to deliver.
£17-£20 per hour
The setting is an Outdoor Nursery- a purpose built urban Forest School. The children are encouraged to be outside as much as possible. The is also an outside classroom, and a community centre where there is access to indoor areas for a more traditional nursery setting room, sleeping and dining rooms and office.

Nursery Manager Job Description
The Nursery Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of the nursery, including staffing, budgeting, and programming/EYFS timetable. They will ensure that the nursery provides a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. The Nursery Manager will also be responsible for developing relationships with families and community partners.
Nursery Manager Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement nursery policies and procedures.
- Select, train and supervise nursery staff-including delivering quality inductions for new staff members. To guide and manage staff so that EYFS standards are adhered to.
- Plan and oversee the daily running of the nursery.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage budgets and financial planning for the nursery.
- Liaise with parents/carers to ensure their needs are met.
- Work closely with other professionals such as health visitors, speech therapists etc.
Objectives
- To ensure the health and safety of all children in the nursery.
- To create a stimulating and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- To develop and implement creative educational programs that meet the needs of all children.
- To manage and oversee all aspects of the nursery, including staff, finances, operations, and compliance with regulations (Ofsted; EYFS; Health and Safety; Equal opportunities etc).
- To build positive relationships with parents/caregivers and work collaboratively with them to support their child's development.
Nursery Manager Job Skills & Qualifications Needed
- We require a minimum of two years experience managing in a childcare setting, as well as a Childcare qualification at Level 3 or above.

- Engage fully in regular supervision with your line manager.
- Adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times and comply with legislation and statutory duties and data controls protocols.
- Act in line with, promote and carry out all responsibilities with full regard to the Equality and Diversity Policy.
- Ensure individual expertise and subject area knowledge is up to date through Continuous Personal Development, including sharing good practice, engaging with training and acquiring / maintaining any individual qualifications required of the role.
- As necessary, and in addition to the above, undertake other activities commensurate with the nature of the post.
