Description

We are looking for a caring, fun and active Teaching Assistant to work with a girl in year 3 at a mainstream primary school in Wavertree.

The pupil currently struggles to attend school and need encouraging into the classroom room and help engaging in the class. You will need to provide both emotional support as well academic. She does not have any challenging behaviour

• Rate of Pay: £10.50 to 11.00 per hour
• Monday to Friday, term time only
• 9am to 12:15pm
• To start: ASAP, for the remainder of the academic year.

Requirements

• Have relevant, recent experience within the primary age range
• Experience of working 1:1 with pupils with SEN needs is essential
• Be qualified or working towards NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent education or childcare qualification)
• Engage and support children in their learning through a variety of strategies, adjusting activities for the pupil they are working with to support learning styles and individual needs
• Feedback to teaching staff regarding progress and outcomes
• Have the ability to work constructively as part of a team
• Have a positive approach to managing behaviour
• Develop positive relationships with children, staff and parents to promote the progress and attainment of children
